why we do what we do

As I child I remember adults complaining that environmentalists were making it too expensive to do business. I also remember vividly, traveling south on the 15 out of the San Bernardino mountains and into the riverside valley. There was a visible brown haze that we descended into, and when you crossed the line, you could smell it for a few minutes before your senses became acclimated to it. I thought that was just the way the world was. I made that trip decades later as an adult, and the stinky brown haze was gone. I remember thinking… “Huh, I guess the environmentalists were right.”

We do not want to live in that world full of stinky brown poison. We want to live in a clean and healthy world full of healthy individuals. We believe all of our choices matter, and that we can collectively build that world through the work we do.
